🌿 Part 1 — The Journey from Jiva to Paramatma


🕉 Beginning

The journey of the individual (Jiva) becoming the Supreme (Paramatma) is explained by Vidyaranya Swami.

Om Namo Gurubhyo 🙏

Vidyaranya Swami first explained the process of descent (Avarohana).
Now he explains the process of ascent (Arohana).


🔻 Descent – 🔺 Ascent

Descent = Coming down
Ascent = Rising up

👉 What is this Samsara?

👉 When Paramatma descends → Jiva
👉 When Jiva rises → Paramatma


⚠️ Important Correction

Our biggest mistake:

👉 “Jiva has fallen and must rise again”

❌ This is wrong

👉 This is not the journey of the Jiva
👉 This is the journey of the Divine


🧠 The Truth

👉 Paramatma alone descended
👉 Paramatma alone rises

👉 There is no separate Jiva


🎭 Not Art — It is Science

👉 This is not a story
👉 This is absolute truth

👉 Absolute → becomes Relative
👉 Relative → resolves into Absolute


😌 No Need for Fear

👉 If everything is done by Paramatma:

👉 There is nothing to fear
👉 “God takes care of everything” is true

But:

👉 It must be felt
👉 Not words — experience matters


🧠 Question

👉 “Sat–Chit–Ananda alone exists”

But:

👉 Do we experience it?

❌ No


🌍 What do we experience?

👉 World is seen
👉 Many beings are seen
👉 Diversity is seen

👉 Everything appears as many


❗ Inquiry

👉 In this multiplicity:

👉 Where is the One?

Truth says:

👉 The One alone appears as many


🧠 What is Ignorance?

👉 Thinking “I am separate from the world”

👉 That is ignorance


❓ Whose ignorance?

👉 If Jiva doesn’t exist
👉 Then whose ignorance?

👉 It belongs to Paramatma

👉 Knowledge is Paramatma
👉 Ignorance is also Paramatma

👉 Vidya + Avidya = One

👉 “Vidya–Avidya Swarupini”


🌊 Ocean Example

Wave = Jiva
Ocean = Paramatma

👉 Who came out as wave? → Ocean
👉 Who merges back? → Ocean

👉 No one came
👉 No one went


🕉 Gaudapada’s Teaching

👉 No creation
👉 No destruction
👉 No bondage
👉 No seeker
👉 No liberation

👉 This is the Absolute Truth


😴 Dream Example

👉 In dream you fall
👉 But actually you didn’t

👉 Samsara = Dream

👉 Jiva is always Brahman

👉 No change
👉 Only recognition

👉 Triangle is not real
👉 Only the point exists


🧠 Anvaya–Vyatireka

👉 What remains?
👉 What disappears?


🌙 Three States

Waking → world exists

Dream → another world

Deep sleep → nothing


👉 But the “I” continues


🧘 Samadhi

👉 Beyond deep sleep

👉 Only Self remains


⚡ Key Insight

👉 World does not vanish
👉 It becomes unmanifest


🎵 Example

Singer:

Singing → sound manifest

Silent → sound unmanifest


👉 Not destroyed


✨ Essence

Paramatma alone appears as all
Witness remains constant
Samadhi = Knowledge
World becomes subtle

👉 Samadhi = Goal of life

👉 Three states = darkness
👉 Samadhi = light

👉 Body, mind, prana are observed

🔥 Limitation of Logic

👉 Cannot grasp by thought

👉 Only through meditation

👉 Knower, knowing, known dissolve

👉 Like a steady flame

👉 That is Samadhi

Paramatma alone exists
